Blending different coffees is an art and science that aims to create a cup with a balanced flavor profile, or to highlight specific flavors and attributes that may not be present in a single-origin coffee. Here are some of the reasons why different coffees might be blended:

Balanced Flavor

1. Complexity: Single-origin coffee has a unique flavor profile depending on its place of origin, the soil in which it was grown, and the way it was processed. By blending, you can create a coffee with a more balanced and complex flavor profile. 2. Consistency: Coffee crops can have variations in flavor from year to year due to changes in climate, soil conditions, and other factors. Blending allows roasters to achieve a consistent flavor profile over time.


Highlight Attributes

3. Best of Both Worlds: Sometimes, a roaster might blend a coffee with a strong body with another that is particularly aromatic in order to produce a coffee that is both full-bodied and aromatic. 4.
